Registration Help

In order to bid on any items up for auction, you will need to register first. Please be as accurate as possible when entering your information in the registration form and be prepared to enter a valid email address as well. If you don't have an email account, you will need to create one before you can register to bid. The email address you provide doesn't have to be your primary account, but one that you check regularly. It is crucial that we have an email account registered so that our software can notify you when you've been outbid and also as a way to inform you when you have won an item. Invoices are only sent to you via email and you will need your invoice to pick up the item(s) you have won.

With an email address established, return to the register page and click on the Next button to continue to the form where you will enter your information and a password. Your password should be alpha-numeric and it is suggested that you write it down so that it is not easily lost. Once you have submitted your information successfully, check your email immediately to retrieve your bidder number. If you don't see the email in your inbox, try checking your junk mail folder. If for some reason you find the email in your junk mail folder, add admin@millcityauctions.com to your Safe Senders list. Finally, with your bidder number and your password handy, you are ready to bid!

Bidding Help

There are a couple of ways to bid. One way is to place a bid that meets the requirement for the very next bid. The other way is to bid the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item and let the auction software bid on your behalf until your limit is met. Either way works. But by placing a max bid, you are free to participate in the auction without having to monitor each bid. However, placing a max bid does not guarantee that you will win an item. If your max bid is met and another bidder places a higher bid, you will need to place yet another bid or another max bid to win the item.

To place your bid(s):

  1. Enter a dollar amount in either the Your Bid category or the Your Maximum category.

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and enter your bidder number/username and your password.

  3. Click the Submit Bids button.

  4. You will be taken to a page that asks you to confirm that you agree to the terms of the auction. If you haven't read the terms, click on Auction Terms and the terms will open in a new window. If you agree to the terms of the auction, then click on Submit Bids to confirm your bid(s).

Bidding Tip: To see all the items that you are bidding on in one place, enter your bidder number/username and your password and click on Review Bids. This will bring you to a page where all of the items you are actively bidding on will be displayed. You will be able to see when you have been outbid and you can place new bids too!
